Interactive Marketing sets up in Liverpool

28 April 2004

Interactive Marketing, a leading e-brochure and e-catalogue company has moved into new office facilities in Silkhouse Court, Tithebarn Street in Liverpool city centre.

The company specialise in e-brochure and e-catalogue design and production, with clients including the city's two famous football clubs.

Speaking about the move, Liverpool-born Jeff McCarthy (MD) said: "We are delighted with our new office facilities in Liverpool. We have outgrown our current space and continued expansion means we now require more capacity. Long-term we are considering such options as the hi-tech Liverpool Digital incubator park."

"Liverpool was foremost in our minds due to its sheer energy, the buoyant job market - and its continued out-performance of other core English cities."

A tremendously successful e-catalogue for Everton FC was launched last December and the company is now working on other projects with the club. Based on that success the company was recently appointed by LiverpoolFC.tv to produce an e-Catalogue for the official Liverpool Football Club website.

Thomas O'Brien, Chief Executive of The Mersey Partnership said: "We have been working closely with Interactive Marketing to secure this investment into Liverpool. The company is already working with companies here in Merseyside and this new base confirms the company's commitment to our city region.

The investment into Liverpool will initially create 5 jobs in the city, with the hope of further expansion as the e-commerce market continues to grow.

According to Jeff, the major reasons e-brochures are so cost effective and becoming more popular are:

  • postage savings (postage accounted for 41.17% of the UK's entire direct marketing spend in 2002) with e-catalogues there are no postage charges
  • turnaround times - much faster than printed catalogues
  • format - customers are used to reading brochure formats (e. g. turning pages)
  • the customer is one easy click away from buying online
  • Relevance - updateable content means e-brochure is accurate (e.g. Prices)

Interactive Marketing is a long term supporter of the Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 bid. Jeff added: "We were delighted when the successful bid was announced and we look forward to doing all we can to support this tremendous opportunity for the City."

Other clients include PC World Business. In November 2003 a World 1st was achieved by Interactive Marketing: the first ever (and still only) e-brochure to update prices dynamically. This ensures that PC World Business customers benefit from the most up-to-date prices, offers and product availability at the click of a button.
